It has been forever since I have been on and posted. With the new year, I always try to think about what goals I want for this year and at church today they mentioned how we need to spend more quality time with our children. I have been trying to do this more often and have realized how lucky I am to be a mom to these two amazing boys. When I was 19, I was told I can't have kids unless I tried right then...which was not going to happen. So I went in search of the right man and well 6 years later I fell in love with Joel. This was too late what the doctor said. So we figured we would just try and see what happened... 5 years later and we have 2 beautiful, amazing boys. They are definitely our little miracles. Just a little update on the boys.
Orin is now over 2 1/2 years old and people still think that he is 4 years old since he is so tall. He is learning so much and is so smart. It amazes me everyday at how much he knows and remembers. He is also really funny. He takes a lot after his dad. He also wants to be just like his dad.
- He loves reading books and coloring and knows a lot of his alphabet but he hates to sing so he won't sing them but he will repeat them after you. He also knows his numbers pretty well 1-10.
- He loves to have "Dance party" and is adorable when we dance around. He also loves to race and run fast.
- He copies Dad in everything...he even laughs and then checks to make sure dad is laughing too.
- He loves his little brother and can be very nice to him...also very mean. But they are brothers so it is inevitable.
- He loves to help mom cook especially when it is a food he likes such as salsa.
- He loves salsa and black beans and cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk. (Not all together just in general) He also loves corn but calls it popcorn. Which he loves also. He also loves apples and eats one or two everyday.
- He is really funny makes me laugh all the time.
- He loves the color red and wears it everyday. He actually gets angry if he doesn't have a red shirt that is clean.
- He is fascinated with the moon and the sun. Every morning on the way to daycare we find the moon.
- He also loves power rangers, spiderman, batman, and ninja turtles, cars and thomas....yep he is a boy.
- He is still a very happy loving boy. We are so grateful we have this adorable boy!
Gavin is now 10 months old and people often think he is older not necessarily because he is so big but because he has so much hair and he likes to walk and hold my hand. He is a very sweet baby that loves his mommy. He is definitely a momma's boy (which surprises me since he spent 3 months with Dad instead of daycare.)
- Gavin is walking. He will take about 4-6 steps and then sit down or if you hold his hand he will walk all over. We walk the church usually the last half of Sunday school since he gets sick of sitting.
- Gavin has learned to shake his head no and yes. It is adorable. It makes me laugh every time he does it.
- He loves to dance. We will be eating and have music playing in the background and Gavin will be bobbing his head to the music or moving back and forth. It is so cute.
- He loves sweet potatoes. We have them probably once a week and he downs those things. He is rather picky. But when I find something he likes we have it often since Orin will eat almost anything.
- He loves his brother most of the time...but he won't take it if Orin is being mean. He will bite Orin to defend himself. (which gets Orin to stay away from him).
- He loves cars and balls and trains or any toy Orin likes.
- He loves to have Mom hold him...and will be fine unless I walk into the room and then all he wants is mom.
- He can hear! Yay! The tubes have been wonderful for him. He can hear so well.
- He is learning to talk. :) It is a little delayed since he couldn't hear but he now can say ma ma and da da. He doesn't say them often but he can. He says Uh-oh ,whoa, and wow a lot.
- He is teething and bites people if he doesn't have medicine or if he gets upset. He will pretend to cry.. which makes me laugh cuz it is so funny.
- He loves to blow kisses and give kisses. He can wave and give five if he is in the mood. He only does things if he wants he can be a bit stubborn.
Here are LOTS of pictures of these adorable boys since I haven't posted for so long. :) We love them both so much!!!!
Orin eating a cookie at Smiths...he loves food and I love when they sample food.
Gavin helping with the dishwasher...he always climbs up on it.
The boys and me hanging out enjoying some licorice
I made some banana cream pie for New Years and Christmas. Gavin LOVES it!
Orin loves it too! They get this from their dad cuz I don't like pie.
Here is my biter...I have to peel an apple and then he just bites the apple works like a charm.
Orin and Mommy ready to go shopping. He is a pretty cute boy and loves to have his hair done...not necessarily do it but once it is done he is happy.
My two boys hanging out watching Cars...they like to have their Pj's match..my little Batmans. :)
Orin riding around the kitchen with his "gloves" on. He loves these gloves since they are red his favorite color.
I made some decorations up for their rooms with my cricut. They love them. This is the frog in Gavin's room and there is a train in Orin's room and behind Orin's head is a grasshopper.
One Happy family :) in our Christmas ties/scarf.
There is the biter again loving his apples. I bought a 40 lb box from Bountiful baskets. We have loved all the apples.
Dad and the boys chilling at Wal-Mart. I went to get something and came back to find this.
Orin helping me shovel the driveway while dad was sick. He is a good helper and was so cute bundled up.
The boys and their buddy Nixon (Lance's boy). I watched Nixon and the boys sat on the kitchen floor having a little party eating cheese puffs while I did the dishes. They were all so good together.
Orin and me :)
