Just Standing

Last Week Joel was watching a movie and Orin pulled himself up on the couch next to him. He has started pulling himself up to stand a lot and he lets go of the couch just stands there.
This is right after church.

My favorite big smile!

He is pretty proud that he pulled himself up just standing there. I was lucky the camera was sitting next to him. He is crawling backwards but not forwards and standing lots. Daycare said he pulls himself up to stand every chance he gets.

Orin is a lot of fun and so happy. We are so grateful for such a great baby!

Going Everywhere

Orin hasn't crawled forward yet. He can get up on all fours and push himself backwards. He also can get anywhere on his bum. He can reach anything and cruise all around the room. In this picture below he was sitting in front of me then decided he wanted to get me. He loves to grab both sides of my face/or hair and give me a big wide mouth kiss. He is coming in for one in this picture. He has the look of I am going to get you mom.

Orin likes to sit at my feet while I make dinner. He was sitting by me but moved over to the stools. Orin loves to play with the stools. Luckily Joel put some things on the bottom of the stools so they won't slide anywhere.

Here Orin is pushing himself backwards. I love the little car on his bum.

Orin is not so sure he wanted to be set down on the floor.

Just a bit tired in this picture.

Orin started on the rug in the living room.

Before I knew it he was on the wood floor by the downstairs...scary.

So we put up a gate...but since we have big trim the gate has a big space on the bottom and Orin has learned to slide his little body under it.

I am not so sure the gate really is helpful. But his head is too big to fit though.
He does love being sneaky.

Orin can get into anything and he does. He isn't even crawling yet. I don't know what I am going to do when he starts crawling. I just can't resist that little grin of his though.

My Helper

Orin is my little helper. He loves to help me with everything and he likes to be my center of attention. Today he sat in the laundry basket and helped me with laundry. (Don't worry I never left his side.)

Here is later on after his bath and getting dressed.

He just loves to sit in the basket.

Sleeping in the highchair

Only a few times Orin has fallen asleep in his highchair. It is so adorable when it happens. I think both times we had guests. This time Sarah was over for dinner.

This was the day Loc and his wife were over for dinner.

I wish that I sat in a comfortable reclining chair for dinner somedays.

Three Years!!

Today is our 3 year Anniversary! It has been the best three years of my life! Today has been really nice we both stayed home and spent the day together and we went to Mcgrath's for lunch which was delicious!

We were looking at pictures of when we first got married...they are pretty funny but a little too embarrasing. Here are some pictures.

Our engagements
Wow we look so young!

Our wedding picture.

Our sealing picture.

This is us when we lived in Salem.

Wow how things change in just 3 years! Joel has a new job and we moved and live in Lehi and have an adorable little boy.

Here we are now!

Orin's Hair

Orin's hair is just growing! I am not complaining cuz I love it but we have given him a haircut already and he is only 7 months old. We cut off 2 inches off the top and 1/2 in off each side by the ears. It was difficult to cut his hair by the ears. That boy can not stay still at all.

In these pictures it is right after his bath and I usually brush his hair straight but today I let it go crazy.

We love his hair. We have noticed that people think he is older because well he is so long and has such long hair. They always say "so much hair for a blonde!"

Orin and Oreo

Orin loves Oreo! Oreo is not so sure about Orin.

Usually Oreo runs when Orin is near, but today Oreo was too tired and let Orin get him.

Orin just loves those ears! He is always reaching for them- just like his daddy does.

That poor kitty thinks its bad now...just wait till Orin can crawl or walk after him.

Christmas

We usually spend Christmas with both parents since they live only 20 min apart. This Christmas we spent at my parents house. Joel's parents were at his sister's house. Joel is excited that next year he gets to spend it with his parents. I am really excited that I don't have to make the Danish roll next year :)

Here is a picture of my Dad and Orin.

Scott and Becca came and brought their dogs Jasper and Henna. I thought Orin would be scared of them since they were so big. He loved them! He was so excited when ever they got close to him. Uncle Scott even let Orin ride one of them. We didn't get a picture of it though.

We open presents on Christmas Eve after dinner. This year we decided to open them early about three since Scott and Becca were only there for the day. We enjoyed it. Here is Uncle Scott and Orin by the tree trying to get Orin to open his present before dinner.

Here Orin is playing in his new outfit from Melanie and Ben. Thanks Mel and Ben!

Tasia and Orin trying to open Orin's present without looking too obvious. This was Orin's favorite spot at Grandma's house. He just would sit by the tree and be perfectly happy until you picked him up. He LOVES the tree! If he was upset and you put him in front of the tree he would calm down and laugh and smile at the tree. In this picture he is talking.

This is us Christmas morning. I was making breakfast (the Danish Roll) and Orin was getting very excited to go see what Santa had brought him.

Here is what Santa brought. He was very excited to play with his toys. His stocking was full of baby food. He had some baby yogurt for breakfast.

Here Orin is in his favorite spot by the tree.

This is us after church in our new church clothes from Santa. Orin was not enjoying the pictures he wanted to be by the tree and get out of his clothes.

This is my parents after church.

Orin and Grandma. Grandma is showing Orin that the snowman dances and sings. Orin loved that snowman.

This is him watching it dance and sing on the table. He kept getting closer to it.

Tasia and Orin playing with his present from Santa.

We had a great Christmas! We hope everyone else enjoyed Christmas like we did. By the way sorry it took so long to post this Joel's computer is not working so every time I try to post something Joel is on my computer.
