Project 1-done

This post is about an outside project but I wanted to add a little about Orin- well cuz he is a funny kid.  So the project stuff is at the bottom of the post.

Orin is trying to get outside. He loves to be outside. Luckily the front door is always locked or he could get out.

Orin loves to peak out and look what is on the front porch. It is a bad habit that I have taught him. I do it all the time too.

Orin got bit at daycare. Actually got bit one day and the next day by another kid. We were not happy parents. So he had one on both arms.

Joel gave Orin a horse ride around the living room. This is the end where Joel decided he was tired and Orin was loving it the whole time.

We have a project outside of putting down some tiles to cover up the huge dirt square under our deck. We had to make the ground level and so we were breaking up the dirt. Orin thought it looked fun so he took the hoe from me and started just moving the handle up and down. He was loving it!!

Here is another picture of Orin helping. He is talking in this picture. He has become quite the talker lately. It can be pretty funny. At the grocery store he says to the cashier hi over and over. Last night Joel and Orin had a conversation for about 5 min and it was hilarious. Joel would ask Orin a question and Orin would answer him and then pause and just laugh. He thought his responses were so funny-which they were.

Here is my hard working husband! What a HOTTIE!

Another view of the project.

This is our rock pit....another project for another day.

This is the final with the tiles down. It looks pretty good except for the dirt on the tiles. We are now exhausted and both have blisters on our hands. It is done and we are happy about that. Now we can have our party for Orin's birthday.  (Which I am so excited for and have made some pretty awesome decorations...which will be in a post in a couple of weeks. 2 more weeks and my baby will be 1 year old!!! Wow it has flown by.)

5k

Last Saturday, Orin and I ran a 5k with my friend Sarah. I wasn't sure how it was going to go. I used to run cross country in high school so I knew I could do it. But I haven't ran a 5k since high school so I wasn't sure how fast or how my body would take it. Now that I have been out of high school for ten years (this year). Here are some pictures of us before the race. I don't have one of us after.

Orin and me

I wasn't sure how Orin would do but he was great! He slept most of the way and was really happy because we were outside and that boy loves to  be outside. I walked/ran the race in 45.33 min it was more walk then run but that was ok. We had a great time and I was so proud of myself for actually getting it done. I do another one in May. We will see if I can cut some time off next month.

Idaho Trip

We went to Idaho last weekend. We haven't been since Christmas so it has been a while. We went and visited both my parents and Joel's. We had a great time. Orin was a little shy at first but he warmed up quickly and loved playing with everyone. My nephews that also live in Lehi were there and Orin played with them a little but Joel played with them a lot. Orin got a little jealous sometimes and wanted his dad to play with him.

This first picture is of Orin loving the apple bread I made (at home). He has ate so much of it.

At Grandma and Grandpa Jubeck's house, Orin loved playing the piano with his cousin Kaleb. Kaleb seemed to love it too. They played a lot and Orin always wanted to change the page.

We took Orin out to meet the animals. He loved the horses.

Here Orin is petting Prince (who is supposed to be the baby horse haha he is almost 2 but bigger than his mom.) Hopefully by the time Orin is big we will have Prince trained to let people ride him.

Orin playing on the swing with Dad. He seemed to love the swing. I just wish it was a baby one where he could have actually swing.

Another swing picture with the sun so bright.

Our cute boy :)

Orin got to pet the goats. He also saw the chickens which he was angry we didn't take him in the pen when grandpa was in the chicken pen feeding them.

Orin was loving reading books with Grandpa.

They didn't even notice I took a picture.

Orin's new sunglasses. That he hates.

Chasing the sheep at Grandma and Grandpa Ricks.

Joel and Orin were trying to catch them...no luck :(

It was really windy.

The way home after a good trip to Idaho. We were exhausted.

Easter

Orin is getting his 2 front top teeth and they have been pretty painful for him. He has loved his teething rings more than ever. He loves when they are frozen and he chews on them. Here he is crawling around with it in his mouth.

Here he is again showing off his skills of holding it in with his little bottom teeth.

Orin loved the bag of eggs...he crawled around the kitchen and living room playing with them for a long time.
The Easter Bunny brought Orin a new car. If you shake it- it will go by it self. He loved it.
Joel and Orin chasing the car around the kitchen. They did this for about an hour. It was pretty fun. Orin loved the quality time with Daddy. He thought it was so funny to see Daddy crawling around on the floor with him.
We colored eggs Easter morning...it was an interesting experience. Joel got a little frustrated but I loved it! I think coloring eggs is one of my favorite things to do at Easter time. Orin first tried to eat the hard boiled eggs (with the shell on).  This picture is right after that.
Here Orin is trying to drink the egg dye.  He is a very determined kid. Luckily Daddy took the cup out of reach.
Orin is helping me dye it green...also his little fingers turned green. I used to color every finger of mine.

After Church, we had a little Easter egg hunt around the living room. Orin and Dad did a really good job at finding the eggs. Orin loved it.
Here Orin is putting the eggs in the basket.

Here is an other egg.

He had one in his hand and going to put in the basket.

That's my happy boy with his basket.

Joel and Orin playing with the car again.

Joel is showing off his new tie from the Easter bunny.  Sorry couldn't get picture to turn.

Joel and me ready for Easter Sunday.

The whole family.

Orin when he was a little frustrated to miss his nap and go to church.  He doesn't like his top button done up and tie hits his chin if it is so we just put it on his vest.  He still looked pretty dang cute!

There is my handsome boy in his new Easter clothes.

Daddy is funny. You can see those teeth in the top coming in this picture and the bottom.

He still has tons of hair and the sweet curls. Everyone asks if it is natural or if I curl it that way. It is natural! I definitely don't curl my boy's hair.

Happy Easter Everyone!! We had a great Easter together.
