36 weeks

I am now 36 weeks and just three weeks left. we are so excited! I had a doctors appointment and everything was good. I am dilated to one plus so far --I wish it was a four. If we don't have the baby before the 15th they will induce me that day.

Just an update- this time my legs haven't been swelling besides when we drove to Idaho for Christmas. When I was pregnant with Orin they were swelling at 30 weeks but the weather is different and that probably helps a lot. I used to wear Joel's shoes cuz mine didn't fit it was hilarious since he wears an 11.

As labor gets closer I realize how scared I am for it to be like my labor with Orin. My contractions were 3 min apart for 30 hours. I remember cuz I left work on Thursday at one cuz they were so close and then I had him Friday night at 7:46 pm. That thing was way too long and the epidural didn't work and the nurse wouldn't believe me. So I felt everything until I got a new nurse 3 hours before I had him and got another epidural. Then they put me on oxygen cuz his heartbeat dropped significantly and they almost did an emergency c section but decided to break my water and had him hour later. I pushed for 20 min and the nurses were so impressed that I did it so fast. Lol how could I not I had been having contractions since the day before I was ready to be done. As long as that is not repeated I think I will be ok.

I have definitely been in nesting mode for the past couple weeks a lot more than I ever remember being last time. This time is a lot different since now I have to worry about what I'm going to do with Orin if I go into labor on my own. I am just hoping if I do go into labor before the 15 that it will be a day my brother and his wife can watch him. They have 3 boys and Orin loves going to their house. He looks up to the boys and likes to play with them.

Joel is excited to have the baby too. he is sick of rubbing my back all the time. He is such a good dad. He has been working lots of overtime to save us money when i am on leave since my pay is deducted to 66% it's great to have him work so much for the money but we miss him lots!!

We are excited to meet Gavin and see what he will look like. He is very active in the belly and we have an ultrasound of him sucking his thumb. That is opposite of Orin. Orin moved very little. Gavin is always moving. So it will be interesting to see what he is like.

Orin seems like he is sensing that change is coming soon. He slept in his twin bed the other night. He did really well. I was impressed. the second night was not so good he ended up in his crib. Third night was like the first. So hopefully he can keep it up.

Here are some pictures of our cute little Orin.

He helped me get out the playpen and he loves to play in it.

Orin loves cars and here he is playing with some of his cars. Everyday I get hours of playing with cars in. It is pretty fun! He has like 8 that he is always carrying around the house.

My sneaky little boy. He is trying to sneak some animal crackers and I caught him.

So when we are bored we pull out the red laser and play with kitty and Orin loves it also. It is the one time they play together kind of.

Changing table

When we had Orin we didn't have the money for a changing table so my craft table became his changing table. Now with the new baby still no money to buy a changing table but I wanted a table in each boys room so if one was asleep I wouldn't have to change them on the ground or bed cuz I learned with Orin when you change him on the bed is the one time he happens to have an accident.

So I decided that we were going to improvise and I was not losing my craft table again. We had this foosball table that we never used and it was left in our house by the previous owners. So we turned it into the changing table. Here are the pictures. Under the curtain on the bottom will be a shelf Joel is going to make. When he has time.

This weekend I was thinking wow in a month and a half I am going to have a baby. I have to get this project started. I started it this weekend and finished the cover today. I still have lots to do to prepare for this baby. I just hope I get it all done in time.

30 weeks

I haven't posted very much with this pregnancy. This week I am 30 weeks. It has flown by. Which is nice and I am really excited to be done. This pregnancy is completely different from my first. At first I was really sick at times but not as tired. With Orin I was always tired. I can workout this time and it has been nice. I can eat everything except chicken makes me really sick. Which doesn't help when I am sick and want chicken noodle soup. That is why I was so sick at the beginning. I think this baby is sitting more in my back because my back aches always and I am not as big as I was with Orin. Which has been nice since Orin loves to be held still and rocked.

Orin is really good about touching my belly and saying baby. Except he always wants to see the bare belly. Lol.

I went to the doctor this weekend and everything is going well. My glucose was at 80 and doctor said they dont worry about it unless it is at 140. So that is good. i always get worried about being checked for diabetes since it runs in my family. They had to take my blood to check on my liver. Which I have to call tomorrow to make sure everything is ok. I think it is nothing but have to wait and see.
Here is the picture from this weekend. 29 1/2 weeks. I am so excited for February :)

Orin 18 months old

Orin had his 18 mo check up this week. He remembered it from last time and was not excited about it. Luckily Joel has Fridays off too so we all went. He hide under the table from the doctor and gave the doctor funny looks.
He is growing so well. He has stayed in these same percentiles since he was 2 weeks old. It is nice not to have to worry about his growing. Plus this kid loves food and to eat just like his mommy.

Weight 28# 11 oz 80%
Height 35 in 97%
Head 54%

Orin still loves to read books and now his favorite toys are cars and trucks and anything he can push or ride. He is a little crazy sometimes and likes to wrestle. He loves to hide and help with everything. He likes to dance and talks lots. He definitely has a mind of his own and knows what he wants. He can scream with the best of them. When in one of those moods we stay home. He loves to walk/ run and still loves hugs and kisses and to cuddle. Dad is his favorite. He loves to cuddle with dad in the mornings and watch cartoons.
We are so blessed with such a fun happy kid. He definitely keeps us on our feet.

He cried the first time at nursery after being dropped off but loved it after a min and realized it is like daycare. He loves his new room and doesn't care about his old room. He still sleeps in the crib except from 7 am to 9 in our bed with dad or in the cradle.

He is supposed to push this Lego truck around but he flips the back and rides it. He loves it.

Orin loved helping put up the decorations this year.

Here he is in the baby's cradle.  He fills it up but still wants to lay in it sometimes and slept in it this morning for a half hour.

Daddy and Orin reading a book. They are best buddies.

There is our cute boy! His hair is getting so long again.

Here Orin is wrestling with Dad and showing his ear to him.

Here Orin found Dad's ear. He is pretty good at the body parts.
