Our 2 year old

Orin turned 2 years old this last week. He is a fun kid. He is so happy. We asked him what he wanted for his birthday and his answer was car. We took him to toysrus and let him pick it out. He loved it! He picked a fire truck. Here are some recent pictures of our 2 yr old. 

He picked out his cake and frosting with sprinkles. He wouldn't let go of the frosting. He loves sprinkles!

We love to shop at smiths because they have little carts for Orin to push. He loves it! It's nice I push Gavin and he pushes the groceries.

Orin loves his little brother so much. He can always make Gavin smile and laugh. 

Orin has been wanting to drive the car a lot lately. 

I took Orin for his wellness check up. He is growing so much!

Something interesting the doctor checked to see where Orin would be height compared to 3 year olds he is above average. This explains why every time we are at the store someone thinks he is 3 or 4 years old. 

He is talking more and more. He is learning his colors and knows lots of animals. He loves to copy us. It is pretty funny. He is definitely entertaining.  We love our 2 year old and can't believe how fast the time has gone by.  

Growth Spurt

Orin got a growth spurt this past week a couple weeks ago he could only turn off the lights because he wasn't tall enough. This week he can turn them on. We haven't measured him but his next appointment is on next Friday. It's crazy to think my boy is going to be two years old already. He sure does act like a two-year-old.

Gavin's Blessing

We blessed Gavin on May 5.  Here is the picture of our little family. 

We had a lot of friends and family come visit and share this special experience with us. Here is a picture of Gavin and me. He is so cute with his little suit and he is such a happy baby. 

While everyone was at our house after church Gavin slept the whole time. This picture is after everyone had left. 

Here is another of the cute little guy. I wish I could have got a picture of Orin with his new tie. He looked so adorable! 

Thanks family and friends for coming and supporting us! It was great to see all of you. We enjoyed the cinco de mayo party! 

Baby Pictures

So I look at Gavin and think he looks a lot like Orin did who looked a lot like Joel. So here are pictures of all three of them.  After adding their pictures I decided I should see what I looked like then too. I don't have very many pictures of me when I was that young.  So here we are in order Orin, Joel, Gavin, and me.

 

 

  

I have to admit we are all pretty cute babies :)

1 month and 22 months

Gavin is 1 month and Orin will be 22 months this month. I can't believe I have 2 boys. This past month has been good and difficult all at once. I am grateful for all the help I have had. My mom and Joel's mom came and helped out. It was good because it took Orin a while to be used to having Gavin around. He now is really used to having him and does really well except bedtime now is a struggle because of daylight savings. I hate daylight savings. I never used to care but now we have kids it screws up our schedule.

So an update on the boys

Gavin. Loves the mobile and stays awake a lot during the day. He loves to be held during the day and sleeps well at night in his cradle. Still eats every 3 hours. He doesn't mind sharing with Orin most the time. Bath time is a hit and miss he likes it one day and the next time it's torture. He hates the carseat. He is growing- his newborn clothes are starting to get small and now wears the 0-3 months.

Orin. Loves his cars and trucks and trains. My brother gave us their boys train set. It is awesome!! It's Thomas and has a table and lots of trains to play with. He loves to go for walks and we got a new jogging stroller so he can join me for our 5k races. He loves it! He loves Gavin and calls him baby or brother. He likes to play with Gavin's toys. He is getting some molars I can feel in the back of his mouth. He is always biting me. :( he is growing so much his 2t shirts are getting short and pants are just right for now. He loves to color, run, build blocks, books, help clean house and run errands with dad.

An update about Joel- He is amazing! He fixed our water pressure. Joel and his friend Jake took out the pipe connecting our water softener to the main valve and fixed it. Now we have some sweet water pressure. So when someone flushes while I am in the shower I can't even tell.

We love our cute boys!



Gavin got a new toy an activity blanket but I think Orin likes it more than him.
