ER Visit

Orin was his normal happy self all day yesterday until about eight he just wanted to be held. So I put him to bed but he felt hot so we gave him Advil for a slight fever. Then about two he woke up with a fever and was sounding a little hoarse so gave him more medicine and he went back to sleep at five he sounded awful wheezing and breathing hard but he was still sleeping and the instacare opens at 8. So we decided we would take him in. At seven he woke up happy and wanted to chase kitty but he sounded awful with every breath. So we took him to the instacare and they said he had croup so gave him some medicine and had a medicated cool mist on him for about half hour but he wasn't getting better actually worse. So they transferred us to the ER. Orin usually takes doctors visits really well but not today they put a pulse monitor on his foot and he hated it the whole time he tried to pull it off. They told us we were going to be there for 3-6 hours so they could watch him. It was scary to see my baby in the hospital. He finally fell asleep while we put the cool mist for him to breath in. That is what the pictures are of. They did an X-ray of his chest and said he had croup no pneuma so we were able to go home a little after one. It was a long day for us all. Orin is now sounding better and happy again:)

Here Orin just fell asleep and Joel is giving him the cool mist.

Here is Joel and Orin.

Another one of our sick baby... it was so sad.

Haircut

It has been a long time since I have posted. My computer isn't working and Joel is always on his so I never get to update. I figured everyone will want to see the new haircut. We have cut Orin's hair four times with scissors by cutting an inch or two off the top. Lately the sides have needed trimming also so we decided to use the clippers like I do with Joel's hair. I think it looks pretty cute. He looks more like Joel with the same haircut.

Here is the picture of Orin the morning before we cut his hair with the clippers...getting so long.

Here is Orin after the big cut.

Here Orin is loving the swings at the park.

Orin in the car seat loving his toy that rides in the car the lion. He was just about to fall asleep.

New Projects Finished

Above is a picture of Orin in his new seat...which he doesn't like as much cuz his feet don't touch the ground. I still think he is cute in it.  I think he was yelling in this picture.

Below is a picture of my cute husband playing Diablo...this is where he is everyday after work just loving it.

As for a new project that I just finished. My Welcome blocks. I have been wanting these ever since I moved in and had a mantel to put them on. They are now done and I feel like they look pretty awesome!

Here is the mantel - don't judge it because I still haven't quite decided how I want to decorate it....any ideas I would love them.

Another project I finished last week was this glass box with  a R on it...for Ricks in case you are wondering. It took me forever to get the bow tied how I like but it looks awesome also :)

And of course I have to end with the cute kid again. I had chased him around the kitchen and then he turned on me and was coming after me.

These are my favorite things...Orin, Joel, and crafts :)

Swimming Pool

For Orin's birthday, Aunt Sarah got him a swimming pool and a beach ball. This Friday it was really warm and Orin and I decided it was time to put up the pool. So I bought him some swimming shorts a while back and thought I got him 18 months, but I actually got him 24 months. They are falling off him and I had to put a safety pin in to keep them up.

We had a fun  time in the pool. It was very bright so in all the pictures Orin looks like below with his eyes closed or squinting.

This is the new beach ball that is a huge hit! Orin loved to put his mouth on it and give it kisses/yell.

He also loves to splash.

Closed eyes on our cute boy. He also has been having his mouth closed a lot lately, like below. I think it is from the white spot on his tongue from his allergic reaction - which is almost gone or it is from his 2 top teeth coming in.

And another closed eyes.

There we go they are now in the shade. We played out in the pool for about an hour. Orin was mad when I decided that we were going inside.

Memorial Day

This Memorial day weekend was very eventful. We planted our garden. This picture below is of the plants that weren't from seed. We planted tomatoes, peppers, green beans, carrots, zucchini, and cucumbers. Right after we finished planting Joel was sick. He had a fever and did not feel well. He had a fever all Monday and Tuesday. It went all the way up to 104 degrees but mostly was at 102 most of the time. I was VERY worried about him. Especially on Tuesday when I had to go back to work. Luckily Tuesday about 3 pm his fever went down to 99 degrees.

This is the picture of my cilantro. It is growing nicely - thanks to Joel for remembering to water it for me.

Here is Orin playing inside when I was on the deck. He thought it was funny to look at me through the door.

This is the banana pepper plant we bought from Wal-Mart that already had the peppers on it. I was so excited they are almost ready to pick.

My brother David is in the navy and he is out on deployment and he sent Orin some shirts from where he has visited.  Here he is in one of them.

So Orin had an allergic reaction to his antibiotic on Sunday and if you look at his face it has a rash on the cheeks. I know his cheeks are red alot of the time but this time it is the rash. He also had it all over his body and a white spot on his tongue.  So they gave us a new antibiotic and he is doing much better.

He is better and the rash is gone now. This is a cute picture of him laughing at Joel.

I told Orin to model for me for Uncle David. This is what I got.

Orin in his birthday shirt from the grandparents.

Orin only has 4 teeth but he showed me how he can bite into a chicken patty all on his own today. We went to sliders and I cut up half a chicken patty for him and then he found the part not cut up and he just grabbed it and started biting right out of it. I guess my baby is growing up. I don't have to cut his food up as little as before...at least with some things.
